A Patriot's Eulogy

lyrics

Proud to be an American
despite the theft of pride from the weak who hide behind
the poor who die voting for promised lies.
Sometimes I think this nation’s lost her
very soul

We the people of
The United States must
Save our mother

Sleeping are her citizens
When Uncle Sam plays taps then will we know
It’s time to take up arms we’ve been overthrown
Twisting amendments meanings come and they go.
At times I fear this nation may have sold her
very soul.

We the people of
The United States must
Save our mother

Flying oh so very high
The beauty of blue and white…
the red for those who’ve died
someone tell me is this really what it all comes down to

Are we living in the end
When the TV trains a willing slave in eagle’s eyes the colors fade
Mother can our flag be saved
I fear “We the people” may have sold our very souls
Freedom’s throne
Now that she’s gone
